Rx Antenna Loop 2 Failure: Site Shut-down
ESTR started experiencing large gaps in radial data on 1/25/2008 at approximately 20:00 UTC. On 1/29/2008, Cal Poly technicians Brian Zelenke and Dan Elmore diagnosed the problem, and believed it was a failure in Loop 2 of the receive antenna box. To confirm this, on 1/30/2008, Brian and Dan installed the receive antenna box at the LUIS HF radar site. Collecting cross spectra at LUIS did confirm the Loop 2 failure of ESTR's receive box.
